Thani (TAH-nee) is a New York-based writer, actor, singer, and dancer.  They are passionate and intentional about cultivating a more just world through their art. Thani brings a curious and collaborative energy to a room and always is always game to learn something new.

Thani's writing has been developed with Untitled Writers Group and Prospect Musicals and their music has been presented in concert at Pink Frog Cafe, Brooklyn Music Kitchen, and Pete's Candy Store.  They are currently developing their original musical THE LAUGH OF THE MEDUSA.

In 2022, Thani made their Off-Broadway acting debut in the world premiere song cycle NOTES FROM NOW with Prospect Musicals.  Most recently they played Joan in FUN HOME at Studio Theatre and Ernst in SPRING AWAKENING at Northern Stage.  Thani also plays Tal in THE FLOATERS, a feel-good summer camp film currently hitting festivals across North America.  Find more info and snag your ticket for a screening here

When they are not working in the arts, Thani works as a restaurant manager and is a co-organizer of the Trans/Queer Community Fund, a grassroots effort supporting Trans and Queer immigrants in detention or recently released from detention.  Learn more and donate at tqcommunityfund.com.
